Join us Friday, October 22 for a conversation on climate justice moderated by urban farmer and educator Duron Chavis, with panelists, Jeremy Hoffman, PhD, climate & earth science specialist; Sheri Shannon, co-founder of Southside Releaf; and Gustavo Angeles, Environmental Justice Program Coordinator of The Sierra Club.
This event is co-sponsored by VCU’s Common Book Department. VCU’s next Common Book is Rising: Dispatches from the New American Shore. The 2018 book by Elizabeth Rush exploring climate change and sea level rise will be read by first-year VCU students and the university community.
