The ICA at VCU opens to the public on April 21, 2018. Our inaugural exhibition Declaration features the work of 34 artists from all over the world and will be on view through September 9, 2018. The following hours will take effect April 21.
Gallery + Shop
Admission to ICA exhibitions is always free, but space may be limited. Be sure to reserve your free timed ticket for exhibitions. Except for opening weekend (April 21-22, 2018), visitors will not need a timed ticket to enter the Forum, Café, and Shop. See more about timed ticketing below.
During our public grand opening weekend (April 21-22, 2018), everyone wishing to enter the building will need a free timed ticket. Note that on April 21, Block Party festivities outside of the ICA are free, open to the public, and do not require a ticket.
Beginning April 24, you will not need a ticket to enter the building, visit the shop, or eat in the cafe, but free timed tickets still will be required to view the exhibition.
Programs, events, and certain tours require tickets, as well. Check the specific event page for more information.
We strongly encourage you to reserve your ticket online ahead of time. Walk up tickets are available on a first come, first served basis, depending on occupancy levels.
