Students from the Black Art Student Empowerment group at VCU sell their wares in the ICA Forum for their annual artist alley.

Screening: Untitled: The Art of Jaraz Jenkins
6:30–7:30 p.m.
Untitled: The Art of Jaraz Jenkins (dir. Paul Lewis, 40 min.) is a film featuring the Richmond artist and VCU graduate Jaraz Jenkins, who survived personal tragedy, a life on the street, and jail time to build a creative and positive future. The film was produced by Subterracon Films, in association with The Abstract Athlete, a project founded by artist and VCU associate professor Ron Johnson. Screening will be followed by a brief Q & A with the director.

About the Director:
Paul Lewis is principal and executive producer at Richmond-based Subterracon Films. He has directed and produced five films to date: It Was the Nightingale: The Unreliable Story of Ford Madox Ford; Rosalyn Engelman: The Color of Memory; I Am a Story: Self-Portraits at the Warehouse; Kent to Connemara; and Untitled: The Art of Jaraz Jenkins. He is currently working on several short films, Waveland and 2nd & Broad, and a new feature-length project, Two Unions: An American Story.
