ICA Living Lab
Connect to nature right here in the city with the ICA Living Lab, a monthly weekend program rooted in the understanding that our well-being flourishes when we engage with the natural world around us.
Guided by mindfulness practitioner Thurmond Alford Jr., this program embraces the principles of biophilia, the idea that humans possess an innate attraction to living things. Join us to discover how small actions and a deeper understanding of the land can cultivate a sense of connection to and stewardship toward our urban landscape as Alford leads us in an easy and reflective thirty-minute walk. Afterward, we’ll gather at the ICA Cafe for tea and conversation, building community and sharing our experiences.
Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather, and consider bringing a notebook and pencil for note taking.
