Provocations Performance: Trapcry

Free, no tickets required

Mar 29, 2019 – Mar 30, 2019

March 29, 4:00 pm //
March 30, 3:00 pm

Trapcry’s name combines the grittiness of the “trap” genre with the emotion and vulnerability of the word “cry”. His gender and genre-bending performances challenge stereotypes of black masculinity, and explore new identities in hip-hop, bringing together elements of pop, rap, house, and club music. Following the release of his latest single, “Break the Ice”, he will be presenting a pared down set in response to Rashid Johnson’s “Monument” installation. // @trapcry
