Artist Talk + Screening: Jonathas de Andrade
Jonathas de Andrade is based in Recife, Brazil and works with installations, photography, and video to explore the borders between fact and fiction. De Andrade’s films often respond to the geography and culture surrounding Recife, a city in the northeast region of Brazil. De Andrade will screen and discuss three works O Peixe (The fish), 2016, on view in Hedges Edges Dirt, as well as O Caseiro (The Housekeeper), 2016; O Levante (The Uprising), 2012-2013.
