Mindful Mornings: Mindful Photography Walk + Observing Architecture
Saturday, Dec 13
10:00 AM–11:30 AM
This month’s Mindful Morning exercise explores architecture as muse, using the built environment as a lens for stillness, symmetry, and storytelling.
Through a camera lens, even the everyday becomes extraordinary. This exercise blends mindfulness and visual composition, tapping into biophilia (our innate connection to nature) by challenging you to find stillness in natural structures and rhythm in organic shadows. We will use the Markel Center’s architecture and landscape to frame presence and narrative, with a specific focus on biomorphic shapes, natural light, and the way living things interact with the built environment. This isn’t just about documenting a scene; it’s about seeing the living world within it.
No RSVP needed. Program starts in the ICA’s Abby Moore Cafe at 10 a.m.
