One Vote: Screening and Conversation

Friday, Oct 5

6:00 PM–8:00 PM

RSVP

Filmed in five locations on a single day, One Vote captures the compelling stories of diverse American voters on Election Day 2016. Join us after the film for a conversation with director Christine Woodhouse about citizenship and voting. You can also check your registration status and register to vote at the event. Post event social hour with free snacks and cash bar at ICA’s Ellwood Thompson Cafe.

Run time: 78 minutes

Christine Woodhouse is a first-time filmmaker who studied film at Stanford University and is a practicing attorney in New York City. Christine has volunteered as part of an American Bar Association program providing trained attorneys who serve as observers and a resource to voters at polling places throughout the US. Her experiences provided the initial inspiration for the film.

Presented in conjunction with VCU’s ASPiRE Living-Learning Program.
