Black Space Matters: Season 2 Premiere
Celebrate the second season of the ICA’s video series Black Space Matters with Duron Chavis with an in-person screening of the first episode featuring Mark Davis of Real Roots Food Systems.
Following the premiere, host Duron Chavis will lead a panel discussion with some of this season’s guests: Mark Davis of Real Roots Food Systems, Michael Carter Jr. of Carter Farms, and Art Burton of Kinfolk Community Garden.

In the ICA’s video series Black Space Matters, urban farmer and educator Duron Chavis interviews Richmond-local community leaders, digging into the conversations about food insecurity and urban farming explored in his “Resiliency Garden” project for the exhibition, Commonwealth. Season 2, which premieres Friday, March 11, focuses in on Black owned and operated farms and gardens in Richmond, Virginia.
