RSVP

Join us at the ICA for the first presentation in our new Provost’s Lecture Series. Dr. Fotis Sotiropoulos, VCU’s provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, will present his talk, “Fluid Flow Challenges in Energy, Environment and Human Health: From Respiratory Viruses to River Flooding and Wind Energy.”

Provost Sotiropoulos’ TED Talk-style presentation will be followed by a discussion on the importance of transdisciplinary research for social impact; what social impact can mean across different disciplines; and the importance of making research accessible to the public to encourage well-informed public debate.

Dominic Asmall Willsdon, executive director of the Institute for Contemporary Art at VCU will serve as moderator for that discussion.

Can’t make it in person? You can watch the whole program virtually live on YouTube!
