Modern dance company

Founded by Jess Burgess and Danica Kalemdaroglu in 2007, RVA Dance Collective is a dance company known for its creative collaborations with artists, filmmakers, musicians, photographers, and actors. They have performed at Grace Street Theater, James Madison University, Merce Cunningham Studios (NYC) and Triskelion Arts Theatre (NYC), among others. The troupe will be presenting an improvisational dance performance responding to Rashid Johnson’s “Monument” installation.
